I have a question for anyone who wants to answer.

    Where is your heritage from?

Because I interact with such a wide array of people , it's become a hobby to learn where everyone's roots are from.

No judgement, no obligation. Just I terest to know the people around me a little beter

Norwegian, Swedish, Scottish, but my parents, and grandparents were born in Canada.
I've gone to Europe a few times, and met several relatives back there. Went to a wedding in Norway, while the marriage only lasted 8 months, I consider the bride one of my best friends now. She has come to Canada visiting several times, and I've been back to see her several times since.
When I first met her three days before the wedding, I told her not to marry the dweeb, it was a mistake.

    American mutt.

Most of the background on dad's side is variations of German/Prussian with some Irish/Scottish for added flavor. May have been a tribal North American thrown in there, Seems one of the great grandfathers was a palygamist and brothel owner. The Indian and Redhead were pregers at the same time. Not sure which one was the genetic mother of the line. Grandad born and raised in Illinois. Moved to Kansas where dad was born. Then moved the family to Socal. Everybody in the family migrated to the SF Bay Area for a while. I was born in Santa Clara, Ca

Most of moms side is mostly English with some Bavarian German thrown in. Grandad was from Oklahoma, Grandma was born in Fresno, Mom was born in San Juan Bautista. Grandad and most of my uncles were truck drivers.

My father's side is Hungarian, mother's side is Dutch. My father's side is shrouded in mystery, I know very little about their heritage other than they emigrated to Saskatchewan and all the boys joined the Canadian forces to fight in WWII. My mother's side has been in north America for over 300 years, they came to the east coast of America from the Netherlands in 1636 and became successful in the shipping business and were high society New York socialites. In the revolutionary war, half the Schermerhorn family fought for the British, and the other half fought for America. The half that picked the wrong side fled to Canada to avoid persecution and eventually settled in Saskatchewan.

Mom’s side is mostly English, with a tad of Irish and a smattering of German. Dad’s side is From the Azores, so Portuguese.
