I glanced at one of those. Couldn't justify it since I own the Comanche.

Think about it more like a Subaru Baja on steroids. May make sense in an urban area. Not so much as a working truck.

That is not the Irish Bayou I recall. Was a row of old creosote bridges every 200 feet along US11 from Slidell in to junction of
US90. Motley collection of houseboats all along, fog down to waist level every morning. Strangest thing... Never saw a wreck on that stretch in the 8 years I drove in periodically.

Do the po folks still panhandle down there? Lotta tourism to supply their needs. Used to be some artist 's displaying some pretty decent artwork there.

That’s it alright. Still a bunch of junk trailers, boats, campers. Along with about 10 newer larger camps up on stilts. I usually run 90-11 through the swamp. to 10. It’s a big mess now, couple boats and trailers turned over, One half sunk. Left to rot. Truckstop burned last year, just reopened, Truck parking lot out back is huge, looks like a nice place to wake up dead. Always plenty of parking. Lol.

And Bosco's Restaurant/Bar just as you turned out of Slidell headed to 90? Restroom there was the first place I hit a gay person.

Oh yeah. My cousin had a stand on the square for a while. Young degenerates striving to be cool. Sleeping in the bushes along the river. Drinking half beers and smoking cigarettes thrown away by others. The Nations finest future Leaders. Along with the goofballs who play-We’re a bunch of Vampires. Lol.
