I was thinking 7/3 split is the best split.

I luckily had stopped at the Petro in Dodge city. Others were turned around and routed back. The next day everyone was speculating. I left out against some other Drivers advice. Had to Dodge the abandoned vehicles through Birmingham. As I recall, the Salt Trucks were dispatched south on 65, when the snow storm took a turn north. That was their story. Both Trucks were out of Town.

Wait, what, They have 2 salt/plow trucks?
Never saw one. Did have the Guard and reserve out picking up all the abandoned cars, plus running some graders and loaders around.

So here is a question; If the people were able to abandon the cars on the road, where did they go? Some one had to get them from the car to home or ??.

I thought he was going to take out that mailbox. That would have been cool.

They ran out of gas. Had to be rescued. Some in cars for over 25 hrs. No food, no bathroom. That’s a tough rescue for the workers.
