I still don't see why all those in the northeast are even the slightest bit concerned.

They all want to hide in the house anyway. As long as they can leach some coin, they aren't leaving the house unless it's on fire.

The northeast carries the southwest. These are older figures but I’m sure it’s still true today.

Arizona received $1.53 in federal spending for every dollar collected in taxes. Residents paid $4,901 per person in federal taxes, and the state received $7,499 per resident in federal money. In all, 30 states and the District of Columbia received more money from the federal government than they paid in federal taxes.

Here are some better numbers as the out of controle profligate government spending in 2021: Federal Spending by State 2021 (worldpopulationreview.com) the states closer to DC the bigger takers (except for Kentucky) as every state are now takers from Uncle Sugar's tit.

I’m not good at ciphering…… but this seems to say NY is $-1792 and the slackers are plus $4343 per person

Do you suppose this has anything to do with it?

The federal government owns 42.29 percent of Arizona's total land, 30,741,287 acres out of 72,688,000 total acres.

The federal government owns 0.69 percent of New York's total land, 211,422 acres out of 30,680,960 total acres.

    And then there is this:

Idaho is roughly 63% federal public land. But that land isn't taxable by local governments.Nov 1, 2021
