But for accuracy's sake, 100km/h would only be 10,000,000 centimeters per hour.

Just be aware that depending what part of canada you were in. In Ontario the road speed is 100k/h which means the average person is doing 120k/h and often there are those doing 130+ out in the far lane.

Don't follow these examples in a truck please. >_>

Here in Ontario the speed limit is 100 kph, but just so you know trucks that operate out of the province of Ontario are governed at 105 kph. Its a stupid law by the government. This may explain why Canadian trucks seem so slow on some of your highways in the US. As a driver I'll explain what is expected on our 400 series highways. The Right lane is for slower moving vehicles. The center lane is a passing lane and typically a trucks passing lane. Commercial Trucks are not permitted in the far left lane nor the commuter lanes. Which are for passenger vehicles only. As someone who uses these highways often I've noted that 110 won't likely get you pulled over this is due to the Ontario Provincial Police not wanting to unnecessarily cause a safety issue with vehicles occupying the shoulders of highway. Its when you start going over 120 that the OPP feel it necessary to pull you over. As you are now a safety concern. Hope this helps some.

Your pretty safe on the highway doing 10 (kph) over, 15 over will get you the wagging finger or if they are grouchy a ticket. Out further west, it's the Wild West, ######## in right lanes passing guys in the left lanes, loaded gravel trucks with wagons pushing 130, anything goes, and it's usually your windshield and the odd truck turned turtle. Believe me I've traveled most of the states except for some of the east coast stuff and Cali-forni-a, it's a much more pleasant experience south of the border.

Husband has had 2 trips into Canada. Still learning all the ropes to get into Canada legal, like the 24 hrs off somewhere beforehand, he uses recap hours.
