A dispatch service booking freight on your behalf isn’t double brokering. They are booking freight for you, they’re not posing as a broker or another carrier to get loads to then broker out to carriers. If Joe’s Trucking is using a dispatch service they will book loads on behalf of Joe’s Trucking. If they book a bunch of loads under Joe’s Trucking and then broker them out to multiple other carriers then they’re not a reputable dispatch service.
What is a good dispatch company?

That's right but you can't get nobody to understand that. When they say "no schooling required" it definitely shows.Lite bug Thanks this.

Well back in the day when I had five reefers I did not understand.
-
So dispatch services are legal?
-
Yes, a true dispatch service is legal.
-
What do you mean by TRUE? Are there not true ones?
-
I’m sure there are shady ones that act as brokers after they use a MC to book multiple loads.
A true dispatch service that only books loads for your truck or trucks using your MC on your behalf is totally legal. -
-
Me thinks someone is not being forthcoming. The OP asking about services then says has 5 reefers. Asking how to lease and what are the fees. More upfront honesty gets better results.
-
So why does everyone say dispatch services are illegal.
-
Because some of them probably aren’t on the up and up. Booking multiple loads from one MC and then essentially brokering out the loads while avoiding the regulations brokers have to follow. It’s not that hard to skirt the regulations.joseph1853 and Lite bug Thank this.
