Just run down to the local DOBM office and get the study manual.

For the map book they probably want to see that you can find things like "the 2000 block of xyz street" as many of the sites may not even yet have begun any building or have an address.

Go to a truck stop and look at a map book...trying to explain their use to someone that has never seen one is impossible.

I would say taste the water to see if its correct. :D. Just kidding.

I believe they may be talking about the MAPP test. It is a career aptitude test. In other words, the test can be used to check your aptitude for certain jobs.

If there was a MAPP or aptitude test for potential drivers it could reduce the turnover rate.

Oh-no, not another driver shortage:biggrin_25523: How many more shortages can the industry take? It's just not sustainable. Well, unless they keep destroying jobs..:biggrin_25525:

I have had tests before in orientation where they tossed a truckers atlas on the table and said log a trip from Omaha to LA and back.

Was a good thing I knew it by heart.
