What is a tower worth?

    What is the price range, per section, for a used tower? I'm talking one that is already on the ground, has been in use awhile, and has some rust spots but is still in good shape.

    That is very much a local market. Some places, you can't give them away. Other places you can get near list.

    The last time I bought a used tower, I paid $250 for it, and it was in good shape. The crank up one I had I got used for $400, 20 feet collapsed, 65 feet extended.

    I probably sold the one I had too cheap, but I didn't need it and they did so no big deal.

    I've got a house i bought(repo)with a 50-60' tower with 2-3 antennae on it. Near Green Bay,free to anyone who removes it. Without damaging the house.

    Think again, Towers are one of those things that just isn't worth the work if they are rusted too much. You have to be very selective and take the time to inspect them carefully. If you sell one that topples down and damages something, you are the one they will go after.
