I would call you an owner operator. Someone with their own authority I’d call a carrier.
If you have your own authority and drive it yourself then you’d be a carrier who is an owner operator as well.

Kinda how I feel as well. I have my own authority with my own direct customers. Wife and I take care of the business in house, she does the paperwork and I do 100% of the driving as well as 100% of the mechanic work when needed….Oxbow, Brettj3876, Pup97 and 4 others Thank this. -
