Maverick Transportation is flatbed and hires new cdl school grads.
Drivers in the "glass division" post they make big paychecks like you want.
Maybe some "glass division" drivers will post on here and give you the facts.

Yea i dont know if team driving would work for me. I think i would loose my mind. im not anti social but i am not very tolerant of those who have questionable hygiene habits.

Well to give you an idea..

My first week was gross 1850
    Say 1000 for this week.
    2200 for next week
Then 850 for my off week, assuming I dont get an LTL when i get back for the weekend which adds on to off week and kicks that 850 up to over 1000.

Thats 5,900 I'm getting this month, gross. First year team drivers earn this as well.

Im on track to retire early even if I never leave my starting company... Assuming investments work out.

I didnt think i was very tolerant either. But the checks started rolling in and I was fine after that. Lol

Maybe Im just not spoiled and was used to working for low pay before trucking.

My experience is most new drivers are pretty clean. Most of them will shower even more than me.

I wouldnt worry about that. Id worry about sleeping in a moving truck and just being in one with another rookie driver. Its pretty safe. I dont know of any crash casualties with my company. But the risk is there and would it bother you? Hygiene not so much worry in my opinion.

Basically all depends on how you're willing to work, you control your paycheck, more sitting and no effort you take home less, i know some that just started in their 1st year made 80000.

    Can I ask, why trucking?

You’re starting from scratch and wanting to learn a new trade correct? Why not go where the money is?

yes some guys make money in trucking but you won’t be one of them right away. You’d be better off being an apprentice making 20 dollars an hour to be a pipe fitter or something (which is more than you will make as a new driver) then eventually making 40+ an hour.

just trying to keep it real with you man, if starting from scratch I’d aim higher.
