I think it will work for a team.... But it may not work for that 400 pound driver!

Oh no doubt. I was told most of the tickets written for weight in MI is due to the truck hauling above what they're registered for.

A friend has a few trucks and one of his drivers is HUGE. He's a nice guy and shows up to work but he's EXTREMELY hard on equipment. They've had to replace seats, steering wheels and had steering column issues because of his weight. He drives a Pete and the steps have needed replaced or repaired several times.

I don't know how some of the drivers even get in ANY truck let alone some of those small cab trucks. I've seen some drivers that take up every bit of space from the seat to the steering wheel in a large cab condo truck. :biggrin_2554:

A person has to be pretty creative to make it as an O/O today. Competition, fuel prices, NAFTA, etc., is turning the "Last Cowboys" into city slickers. What can we do to stop this insanity? Someone please mobilize the masses and let's take this industry back!!

I add where it loads and drops, depends on where we are, if we want to get home, does it pay for fuel, and my husband wants to kiss a dispatcher's ###. Then I calculate it at the lowest level, because that's realistic, and see if we can take it. Usually not.

    Redrider Thanks this.

I ran to the west coast from midwest for years with a 30" crawl in sleeper. Wasn't a whole lot else available then so you didn't think it was so bad. I remember hearing stories of some big guys getting stuck crawling in or out. I've never been over 170 lbs so it wasn't that much of a problem personally.
