If you are smart it will save you a lot of money give you a lot of write offs. Talk to a tax lawyer and not H&R Block And read up on tax laws there are a lot of loop holes

I think getting a LLC for a trucking company is a must, dosent matter if one driver or more. I incorporated in SC, pretty easy i would say, $300 if i remember correctly.
If you are a one company its even better, you receive all the benefits a corporation offers but get treated as a segregated entity, filling schedule C just like the sole proprietors.

BTW i booked a flatbed load ( no tarp 20k) NC to CA for $1.30 per mile. The lowest i went in a while...
is that bad? I felt bad the whole weekend about it
