I protest low rates by not rolling, also. But the only ones that are always there with me on that subject seem to be my friends Jim Beam & Jack Daniels........

Hey, I've had my truck parked for three years, and the rates have dropped alot by the sound of things. Apparently, those greedy brokers have been ignoring my protest.
Anyway, if you guys would all get out of trucking I could get back on the road and make a killing.
Thanks in advance!
Sincerely, Leo

My good week is going down the toilet. Dispatcher missed yesterday so now I'm sitting in No Freight Available, USA after her stand in sent me here.
Remember this is a team effort. ( Per the owner ). As long as the drivers take it in the ### for the good of the team that is.
I'd like to lay it just on the dispatcher, but if the owner & management weren't ok with things being Hoge Poge, then they wouldn't be that way.
I can't remember if the J that's 12 miles further away from civilization has air available. I think the Love's that's 22 miles closer to civilization does.
Resupplied from Walmart.
That's what drivers do, maximize their time. That way we have more to devote to the "team."
Excuses / Explanations so far this year:

Cheap freight is anything you haul at a loss. The key is to know your costs and never accept anything below your margins just to keep the wheels rolling. However it’s a complicated question is it van, refer, or flatbed freight? Rates vary by region. Subscribe to DAT or other rate reporting services to gauge the rates for different modes of transportation in different regions.

Now we need you to drive over to crystal water pick up 42,000 pounds of water bottles that have a driver unload by hand
Will give you an extra $75 for the hand unloadDave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
42 is lightweight.
Interesting enough the weight doesn't kill the MPG to bad if no big hills.
Just the lack of planning makes me bananas.
I would have great difficulty going to someone and rattling off those lines of BS.
I mean when I have these two very stringent conditions I place on my truck;
Go anywhere
Do anything
I could see where that would limit the loads available to me.
