Gotta get Blackie & the trailer washed too.
Montana DOT did a level 2 on me in the #### blizzard the other day, passed no violations, so that's worth another $100 from my company.
That pays for the wash and my buffets.
Of course I will have to drive like a hundred yards over to the Blue Beacon, and use some fuel. OMFG the stress, ## it, I'm quitting and getting a job delivering pizzas.
    Wait.
Who ever said I'd get rich doing this anyway. That's owed to me right? Or do I need to earn it? ##, now I'm confused. 20151221_071116.jpg

I'll tell you, they're many different variables to the equation to making money.I think if I could go back I would get a much newer truck with less miles.Wear ,and tear is something that I'm just really starting to understand. I have just done an platinum overhaul, and I have new tires all the way around. If I can make a profit on a load I'm taking it.I remember 2 years ago I use to average 800 a day per load after fuel for the week, and that's with a dry van. It's been awhile since I have seen those rates, but when the window opens I will be ready. For now my end of month income is acceptable.

See this. Not even enough drivers to put one in the seat of this new Volvo.
    Rates must skyrocket.
    LOL
Yes, the 3 loads I have pulled so far are setting the spot rate.
Give your brain a chance. 20160110_130524.jpg

Try this young man. Just a suggestion.
    1) Work hard.
    2) Do a good job.
    3) Don't beat your equipment.
    4) Leave it with Jesus.

    And see what happens.

SoDel, fordconvert and scottlav46 Thank this.

Not really. Unless the company you are withsis just giving you typical broker freight. If they have a good direct customer base, you would be better off getting their 80 percent of good paying freight. Than 100 percent of nothing but what you can negotiate from a broker on a load board.

Yea really, 90% are broker loads.
John Boy Hunt & Landstar pay real well.
CHR even has rates I can certainly live with.
But I would certainly like the numbers to everyone's contacts, so I can pull some business away from you, not much, just a load here and there.
