I use a grrase gun and grease the bolster plate and pin on the trailer itself. Very little waste that way. I grease it when I unhook or after a rainstorm, whichever comes first.

Valvoline Cobalt, available at Tractor Supply, seems to last the longest without washing out and galling.

The “Red n Tacky” does not or seems to come in a pour bottle. I only found it cartridges, spray and buckets. It probably works well but I prefer the Lucas bottle only cuz you can carry it with you in the truck. Yes…… on a cold day, you have to fight with it and it might get stringy while using it. I only use it for the top plate, not the slider. For me, it’s just extremely convenient. I use “RED-i” grease for everything else.

Hmm I've only seen red n tacky in packets and cartridges so far. I'll have to look closer. I could deal with a spray. Maybe even a small bucket. Like handheld size.

Ya but as soon as you squeeze out a drop it makes a four foot long string that hunts you down every time.

I just use the grease gun, with Lucas in it. Squirt some on the 5th wheel when I drop hook as needed.
