I was just tentatively offered a job with a tanker company. They said they pay 22% of line haul.
How the heck can I calculate what I might be making?
What is line haul pay?

that can be hard to figure out as loads generaly pay different each time depending on miles, you would nned to know what the load pays to know how much you get paid.
-
Load pay is usually 2 parts. 1 is line haul and the other fuel surcharge. So lets say a loads gross pay is 2000 bucks and 700 is fuel surcharge then the linehaul is 1300. You would be getting paid 22% of 1300 which is 286 dollars.
FlaSwampRat and Dinomite Thank this. -
You are correct. Linehaul is the basic transportation charge, without any additional accessorial or fuel charges.FlaSwampRat and Mommas_money_maker Thank this.

That is very crappy pay.

Too little information to make that determination.Ghost Ryder Thanks this.

Do you know what line haul is? 9 times out of 10, a paying load like that can be done in 1 day. $286 for one days work ain't bad.TravR1 Thanks this.

I agree...
$286 is like minimum wage ONE weeks pay, around there.Ghost Ryder Thanks this. -
