I guess he proved you mean it about texting drivers getting snitched on. Even if it’s just by accident he wound up on your video.

I just missed a scale the dot officer stopped me and did an inspection. He issued me a report with a violation for missing stop at the scale. He also told me that this will be in my record for at least two years

    IluvCATS Thanks this.

The funny thing is that there was no light to indicate the scale was open at that time

Need to pay attention. There are a fair few scales that don't have lights. Just a billboard sign with a flip down to say open.

    Lepton1 and IluvCATS Thank this.

I went through the AZ CA border on I-8, and the sign had two arrows. One pointed to the left and said I8 through scale. The other pointed to the right and said exit to a certain road. I went left...go figure. I got a warning for ignoring signs. It was not a ticket, but a DOT. I got CSA points. I was kind of surprised because he emphasized it was just a warning, not a ticket.

You should hire an attorney to fight this, do not let it stands on your record. I have a driver/friend who did not stop at a scale because he was coming back empty, he was a new driver so he thought he didn't need to stop there was nothing on the trailer. He got a ticket, it got onto my DOT record AND his driving record. He also has his own trucking company and when renewal comes his insurance rate goes up $300 PER MONTH. The ticket was written up as 'unsafe driving, failure to obey traffic signals', yeah not stopping at the scale is unsafe driving figure that one out.

PSP is not like a credit check and it is not subect to the FCRA. Now DAC, or hireright is like a credit check and subject to the FCRA.
