Anyone know what parameters the ecm uses to calculate % of engine load- I just discovered this in the data star today. I am trying to watch how hard I run the old girl, having a 1mm 600hp file in it, (it`s a 475 MBN) but still running the stock turbo. My pyro has just started being erratic, so I can`t go by that, and my boost seems to top out at 34 (read one time that`s as high as it will read). Thinking I should be able to run it by the engine load readout as long as I don`t go too high. Thoughts*
What is % of engine load readout

Not sure it's listed on the ECM download as engine load factor as a % mine was actually like 34%. I just looked it up.
I tried to copy that page.... But messed it up
I guess that's the life time average? -
I'll check it out in the morning and post my crusing%

It measures acc. pedal position, rpm level, and how hard the ECM has to adjust fuel to keep the engine at that certain RPM to get a % load value.

dump $2400 into a new turbo. Also, I guess maybe I'm a little concerned that if I did upgrade the turbo, and the boost psi, is there a possibility of doing damage by putting more strain on this engine, with some 26,000 hrs. on it now? I don't know the previous rebuild history if any, of it. I have had it for only 3 and 1/2 years.
