What is swing?

    Depends on the truck. You can usually go 4 1/2 and not be over 13'6".

    Lets not crack a good firestick :yes2557: I have taken out a CL-144 on my CAR it will hit low hanging objects and they are not cheap .......

    Oops! "VR4". VR4 is the modulation control.
    Not VR5. VR5 is the rf meter adjustment pot.
    No harm. Just re-adjust the meter.

    If you don't have a non-metalic screw driver ?
    Sand or file down a wooden dowel to fit the adjuster on the pot.

    Hey,Joush.I don't know if anybody answered your question RE: the word swing or not,but imeansthis: as you speak into your mic,and watching your meter,you will notice that the needle "swings" upward,as you speak.It should ALWAYS "move" upward,as you speak,as this is called positive swing...if the needle moves BACKWARDS when you speak ,that's called NEGATIVE swing...which you DO NOT WANT!!.I hope this answers your question,and feel free to ask me any kind of these questions,as I've been an amateure(ham) radio operator for years.

    How would you get negitive swing UNLESS you exceed 100 % negitive modulation .....
