What is the best insurance for an owner operator.

    Well let me tell y'all a little secret, brokers only care about your cargo insurance when they ask for a insurance certificate there only one in the cargo end of it, with that said I know several people that have their cargo insurance through a major ensure and general liability through someone totally different as far as I know they have never had any issues with that!

    Like Jardel said, Lloyds of London is highly rated by AM Best, always has been, always will, however the policy form contains a good number of exclusions of coverage which give them the right to deny paying on claims or to pay 8k when they should pay 10k. AM Best just looks at the numbers coming in vs the risk and to see how financially solvent an insurance carrier is. They do not look at exclusions on a policy. Most insurance carriers that are in the truck insurance area are AM Best Rated A++.
