What is the big "D?"

    Ya I would love to have a longer wb tandem for sure than my 244" but dont know about the spread axle what is its advantages over regular axle spacing?

    For us, we can carry more weight, 40,000 #'s vs. 34,000 #'s.

    It doesn't increase your gross (80,000), just that you can have 40,000 on the trailer, right?

    I think that it's more so to do with load distribution. Yes, you can have 40 on the spreads, but it still can't go over 80.

    By having a spread, it means you don't have to worry (as much) about distribution of cargo more. At least, that's my best guess.
