What is the correct procedure when buying a truck? Should one secure financing first, and then pick a truck, or pick out the truck first, and then finance it?
The reason I ask is that I can't get a truck from selectrucks - the reason I wanted to get one from them is that there would be a warranty included. So, now that I will be forced to get financing probably from somewhere other than the place where I will be buying, I won't be able to get any warranty outside of what's left on the manufacturers warranty, if any, right?
Just looking for some advice on what to do. I got approved by Landstar yesterday. I am going to get a truck even if I have to empty my worthless 401(k). I am going to be an owner operater one way or the other, I hope. I just need to get a truck.
