You should be able to tilt that grill forward. Look for the cotter pins.
Coolant as much as half low in reservoir.

We used to run em a few gallons short, scooping stream water into it near the Md PA line off 83 prior to the Hunt Valley pull. The old iron did not hurt none (Mid 60's short mack...) might have steamed and smoked a little bit but it did fine.

Today's trucks are BS full of nanny computers that cannot stand it if it's a cup low.

You would think all the wonders of that computer BS engineering will solve all the other problems in our Trucking industry like inadequate pay to start....

I did not read all the replies. You got either a problem with low coolant or a bad sensor. Several years before I retired I had that warning and it kept getting worse. Would check the fluid level and it was above the sensor. Still I had that light. Finally a mechanic replaced the sensor and I got no more warning light.

Ronnie D paid for three seperate shop visits inclduing two with dynometer time trying to force that coolant to over heat. I think it hurt the dyno. (Not really)

The third shop finally went ahead and dug into the sensor. It was rusted. Don't ask me how something like that can go bad. Must be a inferior metal o something.

If they changed a water pump or otherwise drained some coolant, the truck will typically need to have a secondary top off after driving around at normal operating temp for a while. Takes a bit to get the system to come to its natural level in the expansion tank, then it should be topped off WHILE COLD to the cold level.

Yea they just put a new water pump in. I turned my truck on and it didn’t come on anymore does that mean it’s back to it’s normal function? It’s still below the min mark so I’m gonna get it filled up in the morning. I’m at the terminal so
