For about the last 4 days, at about the same time everyday (late afternoon) my neck gets stiff and I can't hardly turn my head. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I don't know if it is stress or what. It's crazy.

Yeah. That's what I was going to say too. No more trucker's forum for you, cat!

I used to get the same thing. It is from sitting in the same position in front of the computer for long periods of time. And if the computer is not at the right height or is at an angle from the front of your body, your muscles in your neck are working unnaturally.

My neck actually locked up where I couldn't turn it at all and couldn't sleep except flat on my back. I ended up having to do physical therapy for 5 sessions, plus hot and cold packs, plus curtailing my computer usage.

cat 500 and Cybergal Thank this.

You know, it never occurred to me, but I bet that is what's wrong. Thanks MM. The kids will love it. I'm going to have to give myself time limits on the computer.

You might want to look at the height of your keyboard, chair and monitor. Ergonomics are important, if you spend a lot of time on the computer. Trust me, I know.

I have two office chairs, and switch them quite often, because I get knots at base of my neck, which in turn creates a massive head ache.

Just a suggestion. I'm at my desk usually about 10 hours a day, but will get up and move around if I feel myself tense up.

    cat 500 Thanks this.
