I just checked out a 2013 a few days ago and it had the DD-13 in it.

    JimTheHut Thanks this.

That would be nice. Company routing for me has been averaging between 10-12%. GPS about the same. I trim as much as I can from that. But, the weekends have been killer. I don't see the sense of driving through several towns with dozens of lights resulting in significant mileage loss and increased delivery time, but I do them anyway to save a whopping 10 here and there to maintain an OOR at least twice what you're getting.

    Current W/A:

Stillwater to Ft. Smith. 179 tariff, 209 actual
Ft. Smith to Chicago via home. 682 tariff, 743 actual (actual is projected because I'm not there yet, would be 722 if not through the house).

Just over 10% and this is a very good weekend. Usually the total tariff miles is a couple hundred less and the OOR right at 150. MPG so far this trip 7.45 (dash gauge is usually within .1 mpg from fill up calculations and I drove hammer down at 68 from Ft. Smith to Madison except when the law required a more modest speed).

This drop off is tricky because it delivers at 2000 but my FM has verbally told me to try for 9 am and that he's had good luck with the Princeton dock taking loads early. It's a crap shoot but I'm going to be there waiting. If they don't take me and I have to move, well, there goes my OOR and I'm sure amnesia will set in as it usually does in these situations.

It's all mostly out of my control. I drive the truck as well as I can. If you have a better route to cut those miles, please entertain me. The only stretch I see on the route is going around Ft. Smith and taking I-540 because of the No Thru Trucks signs. I know some people drive straight through, but I prefer to follow the signs and avoid the significant number of stoplights along the way.

I'm in a 07 on a 1500 mile delivery so my numbers are somewhat screwed up.
    6.9 mpg 25.37 OOR

Dang, did you drive most of those miles before the Saturday night cutoff? Unfortunately, my oor right now is 16.8 as I just calculated it. Had a repair last week that evidently set me back more than I thought. And the problem wasn't even fixed. Took it in again and it wasn't fixed again. Then I got the advice to just disable the trailer abs light so DOT doesn't know its not working.

For all the miles I've gone oor I've actually never been hounded about it. I try. I really do. It just seems so out of my control.

Heres the quirk about trailer abs,by law it must be on your trailer past a certain model year. However it doesnt have to be operable. No DOT ifficer will cite you for a abs lite. This was told to me by a DOT officer. I have never worried those lites since.

in the two years I was with Maverick, my OOR was always around 5% and fuel mileage was high 6's in an 07 to low/mid 7's in two different 12's

I simply operated the #### thing like I owned it.

That makes me feel a bit better about it. Now, if I can get the trailer to quit fishtailing when deadheading, I'll feel really good about it :biggrin_2556:

As a side note, I delivered Jernberg 11 hours early without a hiccup. I hate it when my FM is right. I might have to start trusting him...nah. Phoned in to tell him I was wandering around Chicago without a place to park and had a load to NC within a couple minutes. Well, I wasn't really wandering. I got onto I-90/94 and parked in traffic with about a thousand other drivers so it wasn't like I was racking up hub miles. When you can't find a parking spot in Chicago, you can always count on the Dan Ryan :biggrin_25525: .

I am getting really good mileage right now. I have a DEF issue though because it's not using any DEF. Problem is whenever I have time...there's not a T/A within 100 miles. Well, if I have to I will take it into the one at home this weekend.
