7.04, 13.7% OOR, 65.3 points on my scorecard (which would be 15 points higher if it weren't for that no-damage accident last month).

And I knew that #### Canada run was going to kill my OOR... paid miles on it is only 1800, and we keep telling them that it's a 2100 mile run, and no one listens. Sigh.

I am amazed to see the number of truck pushing that pedal down when they see the top of the hill, like if they are going to gain precious time by burning that extra quarter gallon of fuel.
I went down I77 in WV. Was at 8.9mpg in Charleston fueled in Whiteville at 7.8mpg. My secret is something people experience all the time since they are born.
    "GRAVITY"

by the way, I am sitting at 7.3 for the quarter having run nothing but the hills of PA,WV, VA.

Did anybody noticed how the MPG increase a lot when running NC roads ??? I can't seem to figure this thing out. I usually run almost 9mpg on average running 64 to 67 ???

Yeah! GRAVITY. I use it to my advantage (as far as mpg is concerned) too. Once I reach the top of the hill I will disengage the CC if I had it on to begin with, foot off the pedal, and simply glide on the downhill as FAR AS IT TAKES me before I am back down to my original cruising speed. I am sure a lot of us do this, but for those who do not, try it and watch the mpg numbers on the dash go up like .02-.05 on each downhill. (And for those of you non-Mavericks who may read this and misunderstand me- I AM IN GEAR while doing this. Don't want some passer-by making some ignorant comment about how I am doing some death-defying NO-NO and going to cause some bad experience by doing this thinking that I am not in gear while doing this. This is for a MAVERICK TRUCK)
