I'm just curious what kind of schedule or how many hours others work.
Personally, I'm home most every weekend. I generally work my full 14 every day unless the situation doesn't allow. Preference is 4am to 6pm... Earlier on long hauls for parking purposes.
What is your work schedule like?

My schedule is similar to yours except I am only home about every 3 weeks, but generally home 4-5 days when there before heading back out.

When I was OTR I generally was pulling out about 2am if I could bend the schedule around it, finished up when I ran out of recap hours, or as close to it as I could, so varied. If not then whenever I needed to start to do what I had to do.
Now that I am home most nights ya never know. Depend on what loads I get for the next day and what times they deliver (dry bulk), starting at 3:45am tomorrow, but could have also been 10am if dispatch had sent me something that delivered later.Rideandrepair, Bluedew, Dark_Majesty_06 and 1 other person Thank this. -
We have 2 shifts. 6 am to 230 pm and one lonesome driver running 8 pm to 430 am....

I don’t have any schedule. Whatever, whenever. It’s not enough. Pretty comfortable in my truck.
Haven’t had home time since first week in October. Will stop at home Jan. 5th. Leave early the 6th. Make it back in time to do taxes? Maybe just file extension?BigDog Trucker, Rideandrepair and Bluedew Thank this. -
I drive what’s needed to do the job. Different every week. Some weeks I’m home every weekend and once during the week and average around 2400 miles a week...
The last 9 days I picked up a load in N.C. and delivered it in COI, CA got reloaded in same dock I delivered to and made it back to Memphis TN before my 70 was wrecked... 4600 miles in 7 days..:45 left on my clock... took 34 and deliver tomorrow for 5200 miles in 10 days
That’s exhausting.....
I’ll be happy with some regional work till Christmas....
I prefer to start at 4am but whatever is needed....Rideandrepair, Bluedew, Truckermania and 1 other person Thank this.
