I can explain that a little bit.
I am deaf, taught sign language in the old english Galludet model which includes everything. Even time and tenses etc. The problem with the English speaking and sign language is that placement of objects in time, past present and future I try to start in the past and work forward. It's not easy. Story telling when done right is useful, but easily botched. The post count means nothing to me as long there is at least one person I helped today in some small way. Or am actually corrected or helped by someone else here on TTR. I love to learn everyday even if it is something that I know nothing about.
That is in it's most condensed form between the two languages. When I am dealing with another deaf person in person it is very easy to establish time, tense and characters protagonist and antagonists with any caught in the middle. In english it has to prorgess in time and it does not work well sometimes. So I tell stories. Preferably first hand. Once in a while I'll indulge in a lunch counter or something that is considered crazy or out there.
I know it's difficult for some. I'll do what i can. The better posts are those which are short from me. Sometimes a few words only.
I am just me. No one has had the life Ive had and I do not regret any of it at all. The languages have given me a education of sorts and the freedom to go trucking when deaf people are not supposed to or accepted by society to do so. That is the other side of the coin. I have to try and show that I can handle that 18 wheeler better than the rest of the class to do something twice as good if possible. Writing is not one of those. Not in today's twitter age of two sentences and a limited critical thinking and or attention span.
What is your work schedule like?

Man I appreciate you explaining that. Very interesting the difference between sign language and English, I never would’ve guessed. Again, my previous comment was not to bash you at all. I just had a moment during your last comment where I realized I read your comments in a certain tone and sort of know the way you “talk” just from reading so many. Now it makes sense in a way. Thanks againFarmerbob1, x1Heavy, Bluedew and 2 others Thank this.

You are welcome. And no I did not take it as a bash. That's one thing I work hard not to do. Pick on anyone too much. I love horseplay. But online you can really do damage with words sometimes so I try to be careful. Sometimes in life I visit those who never had the freedom or knowledge to be free and able to marry, raise families and buy homes etc. I think of them now and then. I hope that in this day and age things have improved somewhat. Because a part of my childhood was involved with the state and not in a very good way at times. Those are stories for another time.Dark_Majesty_06 and dwells40 Thank this.

We appreciate that. Keeping your posts relevant to the thread subject helps a lot too.
If might also help if you included in your posts the caveat that you're no longer an active driver, haven't been for many years, and that your advice and information may not be 100% accurate.homeskillet, x1Heavy, Slim51 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I'll include that in the signature, it has been years. However the doctors say enough progress is being made medically that 2019 may be different. We can only hope. And fix what is fixable. It will have to be tier two no DOT card with farm work in particular But first things first. There is alot going on very rapidly in the medical side. I go week to week. Some changes have been made for the better and more specialists are being brought in.REO6205, Truckermania, Farmerbob1 and 2 others Thank this.
