First from his very first post he made negative remarks toward me .

If all you saw was correcting grammar or spelling you'd better look again . You don't get infractions for that . You won't see all his infractions . Note the post edited by Baack . Who said anything about being unforgiving ? Him and the other wannabes a threat to me ? That's a joke . I work for a decent carrier and like other decent carriers they don't even consider anyone with less than 2 years experience . Now if I was a screwup working for a bottom feeder carrier getting $.30 a mile and they could bring in a newbie to work for $.22 a mile to replace me maybe I'd feel threatened , but not by him . If he does manage to get hired any trainer will tire of his attitude real quick . And if he gets angry he can't concentrate on spelling but anger won't affect his driving ? Give me a break .

 

Look I don't want to jump in the middle of all this but I just want to point something out. I'm a newbie, the only difference between me and others is the fact that I was taught old school but none the less I'M NEW. My point is that I've been treated fine on this site, I've never been treated with destain, maybe its the fact that I show respect to those that know. If I knew it all I wouldn't be here, I would be kicking back on my al mighty throne but anyway my point is I don't feel that newbies are treated bad, I just don't think the old timers are gonna (nor should they ) listen to us newbies try to act like we Know when we don't. Only time will fix that

There are many helpfull people here that give good advise, and those that do attack some posters for the post they made which doesnt make sense to me, cause i thought everyone was kind of friends here, attacks shouldnt be allowed, however the exception to this rule is when someone like bakum comes in and starts his rants right off the bat and attackes Rick, he should have been banned without forethought. I have always got good info and advise from everyone here and love the stories i read here. I also try to be helpful when i know the answer to something being asked, I will stay here as a member for a long time to come, thanks to everyone here for being hepful to me.

 

I feel kinda bad for the people that read the first post and judge the next 11 pages on someone asking "DOES THIS INDUSTRY SUCK?! YES OR NO?!" The mods here won't delete this...farce. It's fallen so far off topic that all Bahkum is is some spectacle to be pointed at and laughed at then poked with a stick.

 

RickG, I hope you will accept my apology. I just reread the entire thread, and see many things in a different light.

At first I didn't realize you were the rick in his first post. I didn't see you in post on this thread until the third day it was running. Then on page 8, I saw in his post, that he admits you were the "Love, Rick". I just assumed you were jumping on him, but I couldn't figure out why, still don't understand why he chose you to be the target.

Again, I hope you will accept my humble and honest apology for my post to you.

 

No apologies necessary . Glad you got the true picture . Anyone that knows better knows I have nothing against those entering the industry . I've helped many of them but much of it in PM's because I don't want hundreds of applicants showing up for one or two good job openings I know about . I do have a problem with schools and what the oversupply of drivers has done to the industry . I warn about schools and indiffernce of carriers because I don't want men with families to support to waste thousands of dollars that could put a lot of food on the table .
I have a problem with students with a scab attitude that come right out and say they know they will get hired because an experienced driver will lose his job to be replaced by them working for $.22 a mile .
