I disagree, mainly because what you state is true of EVERY job where you work for someone else. Life is what you make it. I've been in management jobs where co-workers won't speak to me for days. I almost always, by contrast, get a greeting and a friendly nod at the fuel stop...and someone will hold the door for me.

 

So you would prefer those of us who KNOW what is going on in the real world.....LIE to you and others like you.

Obviously...you've never spent much time talking to ANY truck drivers.

Yes, we do occasionally lie. But we limit it for truckstop tales, and fairy tales.

I'm making good money. YOU on the other hand. Would have to start at the very bottom...in a down economy. And most likely, in debt and desperate for anything. Three strikes against you, before you fill out an application.

That is, if you wanted a job in trucking.

My skills are proven. Yours are fantasy. Insurance companies base their rates on reality. Lower rates = lower cost = desirable "experienced" employee

TOP pay is being reduced for many of us out here now. So those numbers being quoted to the new guys/gals by the schools and the recruiters....are bull####.

At the moment, for every job out here. There are 2 experienced drivers and 10 students applying for THAT job.

However you DO have one quality that seems to be in high demand. A piss poor attitude about people who try to speak the truth in difficult times.

You'll make an excellent recruiter or dispatcher.....welcome aboard.
