I realized I had a multiple serious addictions. I became addicted to eating food and living indoors. I think my parents got me hooked. Once my desired career made me poor I got into trucking to feed my habit. I just can't get that food & housing off of my back.

Thank you. I don't really want to say where on here but it was a municipal department in a mid size southern town..we had close to 120 officers. I spent most of my years in patrol,.retired as a supervisor. The part that drove me crazy was the office politics. We had our fair amount of crime, gangs, drugs, fatherless kids etc. Constantly ran from call to call ..never had enough officers which is getting worse..could go on and on.. I miss some of my friends ( not the many butt kissers and back stabbers) but not the stress

    Homelessness and a government grant.

The low rate of having to interact with other humans is an added bonus.

Spent 12+ years in customer service. Got so bad I started having panic attacks when angry customers yelled at me. Enjoying the relative peace and quiet of the cab.

Wanted to get in NASCAR after pestering truck drivers , crew cheifs , trailer manufactures and anyone else that would listen , the yellow drill guys gave me a shot , and never looked back.
Just kicking back now ready to retire , us old truckers have some stories to tell , and people love to hear them.

At least his shirt is mostly tucked in, he is wearing jeans, a BELT (its in the dictionary), and boots. Thats more than we can say for the majority of drivers out here these days.
