I took the first 2 months of this year, and I'm company. But that aside.

Let's cut the BS bravado here. You go to work, when you need to pay the utilities. Unless you're independently wealthy.

You stay away from the house, as long as you need money and food. Period end of story. I don't care if you're O/O or company.

You don't have a money tree out back...so we can move past this "Mine #### is bigger than yours BS"

Unless....somebody else brings the bacon home in your house. And we won't even go there...cuz my opinion gets worse.

Plus...it doesn't add to the posters thread.

You responded to my post talking about your little "hometime". I state that I dont do "hometime." Independently wealthy? No, but my brother and I are general contractors. I come off the road when I want to and when I am needed by my brother. No "hometime" for me.

And if you were really concerned about answering the original poster's question and helping this thread, why did you choose to respond to my post? Hows that for BS?

Just stating the obvious here.... I can read.

And none of you post have anything to do with the question.

Why I respond ? I call em like I see em, and it generally allows a person to point out how irrelevant they are....in future post on other threads for other people who may have a question.

But I will anoint you with the new fangled ignore function we have in this forum. Because you truly are irrelevant. And just like to toot your own horn....like 1000's of other "Gods Gifts to insert topic here"

    OK, I'll bite.

You ask what would make a good company, so here comes my "wish list":

A good truck. No it doesn't have to be a new Pete, or Kenny. Just a well maintained Freightshaker is fine (I hate Volvo's). Everything works as advertised, if not it gets fixed asap. Pretty is very secondary. My favorite was an 02 Shaker with a rebuilt engine, tranny etc. Old girl was bulletproof, with 500 hp and a 13spd. I don't care about speed limiters as long as I have the horsies to pull a good hill.

Miles and pay. When I'm on the road, I wanna run! Not sit at a truck stop waiting for 4 hrs for a load only to have dispatch annoyed that I don't have hours now. Like many, I would love to be paid while waiting to be unloaded from the start of appointment time to departure.

Do Not Disturb Macro on Qualcomm. When I'm asleep that's my job, to get some sleep so that I am safe the next day. This isn't the time to recieve garbage messages like "reduce your idle" or "the next chaining class schedule", etc. While I'm on the Qualcomm issues, I want to be able to READ the message while in motion. No, I'm not so stupid as to read an entire message, just a glance to see if it's something important (pplan, load cancelled, etc) vs. the garbage messages. Then I can pull over to see the important stuff and answer it.

Get off my back about idle time. Yes I'm human and don't like freezing or roasting. 'Nuff said.

Hometime: If I say friday, I mean before noon. If I say available sunday # 2000, that doesn't mean I want to pick up at 1300.

DM's and Planners that either have a clue (yeah, right) or at least have the intelligence to LISTEN to the guy (or Gal, Sorry Nana!) who's on scene and drives for a living. No, Semi's loaded to 55k+ in the box don't roll I-5 # 60 mph during rush hour, for example.

Ok, with all that said, it's a wish list. The truely important ones to me are the 1st 2 items. The rest I deal with. :biggrin_25517:
