Put some thought into your last question and I think this can count towards all of trucking... Not all of us are either uneducated, fat, lazy, disgusting, and so on. The general public views us that way and with great reasons!
Some of us have a degree or three, maintain a healthy fitness level, maybe even be the number one parent or town mayor!
The public shouldn't be afraid of us, well maybe some, and maybe give us some respect.
I for one would be interested in seeing your final copy of this project. Best of luck!blairandgretchen, Brettj3876, fordconvert and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm not an owner operator but I treat my truck like it's my own. The public stereotypes big time and lump us all into 1 category. One of our company drivers that is part time is a judge.

I agree with that. I see your from binghamton, do you pull any loads from Nealon transportation? I know a few o/o over thereBig_D409 Thanks this.

I can't say that I have, rarely ever grab anything out of Binghamton now. Would like to get in with Chobani, but there has yet to be any definite answer from them in regards to anything. Doesn't hurt to keep trying though as it's been about a month or so of semi-continuous contact. Some times I'll load out of HP Hood in Vernon and Oneida, otherwise when I bring the van home, I'll load out of wilkes-barre (burts bees) or Carlisle (pepsi).
I am always looking for something coming out of that area so I'll check them out. I appreciate the good info!Woodchuck88 Thanks this. -
No problem man good luck with the chobani gig. Nealon's located right across the rd from maines over on the corporate pkwy. Ask to talk to jerry he's the owner, they mostly do flat bed work with dry van mixed in. My old man was leased on to him for about 15 years until he got his own authority, and my uncle is over there now with his own authority. He pays pretty decent rates most of the loads are usually out and back in a day
