I hope your right. When Linux can support my needs for preparing graphics to go to print, I'm there! LOL

Your statement about win2k is right on the money. I have a client that Can ONLY run win2k on his systems, because of the specialized accounting software that they run. Can't find another company with anything close to his needs.

Personally, I'd like to see the evil empire topple.

This new "are you sure" crap in Vista really ticks me off. And I don't even use it, but I know people who have to confirm actions just to do simple tasks.

Microsoft thinks everyone is stupid. :biggrin_25526:

That's easy to disable. Without going into long detail.....Simplist way, tell your friends to grab a copy of "TweakVista", they can disable that function with the trial version. The trial version is not fully functional. But it does allow you to disable many things.

Apple did it with OSX. All MS would need to do is support WinXP for 10 years, while hardware and software are developed for 64 bit. Time it self will do away with 32 bit.

I can tell you how to tweak Vista completely if you want to know. And I don't charge!!! LOL

I use Vista Ultimate and it's exactly the same as using XP now that I have it tweaked. You'd never know the diff except some file things are moved about.

Let me know if you need help.

Y2K for the most part was a joke. Every IT person I know, had thought it was a joke. The only system that some were worried about, were the very old late 70's and 80's main frames.

I have two G4 Apple's running Tiger, and a G5 running Leopard. As well as two PCs... the desktop I forget I have, and the laptop is having power issues. And I'm in the process of moving so my mac mini is 40 miles away and I'm stuck with my old iBook (500mhz) and can't do hip things like... watch youtube videos lol (due to the age, not the OS!) My Dad is a linux enthusiast, and runs his own distribution. I only use Windows when I'm at school, either 2k or XP. I have a dual boot partition of XP installed on the mini but rarely use it. My cousin runs Vista mostly with a back up partition of XP.

But the saddest of them all? My poor grandfather.

    He runs Windows M.E.

and from what I've been taught, it must operate, to be an operating system :p
