Safety guy told me anytime the wheels are turning it's a preventable which is downright stupid in some scenarios.
What qualifies as a 'preventable' on your DAC?

contact dac, explain there is no accident on your license and don't remember what this incident came from, they will contact the company and ask prove more likely they dont have anything since they didnt have bill or form you sign and hopefully they remove at least one, friend of mine did this and it work. He was working big company which is worse when it comes dac.

Ive gotten good and stuck a couple of times... Then also inflicted damage on equiptment getting OUT of places that would make me a laughingstock on the noon news circut. Here see this bumkin try to cross a 4 foot deep concrete drainage ditch with a 53 into a single lane road...
I kept pins in one of the side boxes in those days so when I knocked out the trailer tandem a little bit a nearby shop will get em pinned again if the rails aint bent. All cash. I paid for my sins. But ###### if recruiter laughs at me...
As far as the other stuff that they do find out about, that is a story of itself and I will usually have a good time telling it knowing they can either hire me or send me home... usually the prudeish or too stiff inflexible corperate thought I was a hellion and kicked me loose in those days. So much the better. -
You really need to stop thinking of DAC/Hireright as the ones that determine the causes of accidents. DAC is only a database where carriers deposit information about drivers. I have a copy of my DAC file I asked for and got in the fall of 2014. In it all of my CDL license history along with tickets going back to the 90s is listed. My accident history and my reemployment status as listed from the carriers is there. If you have a preventable accident on DAC it is because your employer has it in their records. Many midsize and smaller carriers don't use DAC however don't forget that you are required per FMCSA regulations to list up to a 10 year driving history to your new company. They may check, if they do you will be asked to sign a form granting them the permission to get your accident, drug testing and employment history from them. Insurance companies also keep databases on a drivers history. A friend of mine recently discovered how detailed this was. If you have a preventable accident on your record and it is accurate you have no options and should answer this question honestly. It is not a job killer in most situations.

What would you do if the driver offered you the money?x1Heavy Thanks this. -
I'm a city driver. There's no room for ego. I wait. dodge, move, sometimes it takes me 5 minutes to get into a dock cause they have so much stuff in the way. There are days, and they suck, when it seems like there's a friggin truck in the way everywhere I go. It's better to be patient, than to clip something. Cause your gonna waste LOTS of time then, and the whole time your going to be saying to yourself " Why didn't I just wait. Why didn't I just ask the guy to move." If you don't like doing those two things, this is probably not the trade for you.x1Heavy Thanks this.
