The first step is reinstating your regular license. Your DL number/record stays with you regardless of what class it is. There is no fresh start.
There is a big difference between suspensions and expired licenses. Why did you let it expire?
For the most part companies allow
3 minor violations in 3 years
0 major violations in 7 years
0 DUI's in 7-10 years
Here's is from Texas's DMV website
So you need to contact them directly. I'm sure all that means is get you regular Class C back.
Also here is everything you need to know about TX license cancellations and reinstatements. It starts in subpart E, down around 522.051

In Indiana, every single infraction that you EVER get stays on you MVR (aside from certain special circumstances). I still get questioned about tickets I got in the early 90's...long before I had a CDL.

Really? Thats not true mah man, once you had an accident or no-fault accident with a class D,E,C,B etcetera., It will be on your MVR. Some companies look back at you record from 3 to 5, others 3 to 7 and I don't know why but after 7 years you won't see any accident if you ask for you driving record at your local DMV they only will give you from the last 7 years now I don't know why some companies look at your MVR for the las 10 years. I had an accident back in 2009, I was hit by a drunk driver I had a class D license when that accident happened. Now I have my CDL class A. Im a school bus driving for about 2 months, in the hiring process they checked my driving record and I still have that accident on my MVR.
