What should be an owner operator net income per year?

    Well seeing as I make $95 -100k a year after taxes as a company driver...I would say an owner should make at least 50% more...so in the $140-150k net range.

    Well that was not very ruthless of you at all. But yeah, divide and conquer. Its pretty old, and works pretty good.

    Depends on what a guy wants out odf life, some years I may not net over 50, but may have only worked 2 months too.
    All of it is not just about what stays in your pocket. In fact many try to limit what goes in the pocket and instead invests in a shop, equipment, trailers, etc, etc.
