The conventions against biological warfare agents only apply to nation states. You are A-OK unless you claim any sovereign citizen nonsense when the cops talk to you. Serial. :evil3:

    You drive YOUR truck.

You have idiots to the right of you. You have morons to the left of you. You have crazy people coming at you and impatient cretins crawling up your bumper.

This is your environment. Accept it and deal with it. You cannot drive their vehicles for them. You cannot "teach" them. You cannot control them. You cannot be the highway hall monitor. All you can do is DRIVE YOUR TRUCK.

So do that and do that well.

And this, folks, is why we are starting to see trucks that turn on the brake lights when only using the jake.

I just maintain my speed since I'm using cruise control anyway. I will then get on the cb and say that my cruise control feels no pressure to speed up so go around. Don't usually get a response.

I don't like it when someone tail gates me, but I'm not slowing down either. I'm not here to cater to others. They know how fast I'm going (64mph), either go around in a timely manner if you can or get a safe following distance and stay behind me.

If there was actual tailgating going on (it's legitimate to have doubts in this particular situation) I agree whole heardtedly!!

it makes more sense now. my boss is the local 2nd chance for drivers with garbage on their MVR. i found out at least one driver has a DWI, and another guy has two rollovers, and i bet the other drivers have bad as well. i think he hires the guys with bad driving records then abuses them because he knows they cant go anywhere else.

every company is going to have its quirks, i get that COMPLETELY but i cant ignore his utter lack of respect for safety on the road. im sorry. talk to any driver with any other company, within this industry and his reputation stinks. apparently the owner himself had a really bad accident involving a truck 20 years ago. he did not learn from it apparently. this is a SMALL community, and i know someone that works for a paving company he told me about some of the baggage with this company.

last week i was driving in a heavy heavy rain storm. one of our trucks passed me in the other lane. no headlights on, highly illegal, dangerous and stupid. i got on the company radio and suggested he turn his lights on. i dont know who the driver was but i wouldnt be surprised if it was the boss himself. he complains if you use your headlights anytime its not dark out........ cloudy poorly lit day for example.

im not allowing him to run the piss out of me and cause me to have an accident. i will blow off whatever ridiculous things that are said. a couple of weeks ago i was sent to pick up a load that was 45+ minutes away in heavy traffic. boss calls me 1/2 an hour later, where are you why are you not there yet? i told him he asks the impossible and I AM NOT SPEEDING. PERIOD. END OF DISCUSSION.

the nice part of about this industry, i have the opprotunity to ask other drivers what they think about their company. i have spoken to several serafini drivers and zolads drivers. they seem to be content. two zolads drivers had a little accident in the quarry parking lot. i asked the driver how the company handled it and if they were complete jerks about. they were decent about it.
