I'd go owner-operator with A&R Logistics; they pay loaded & empty miles.
Company driver with a chemical tanker outfit and you could really bank some money.
What should I do next?

I looked into A&R a bunch of times but what are the rates there?
-
They pay cpm. Lots of good accessorial pays also that add up fast.

None of the above. Apply at the LTL companies nearest you and make better money with most likely better benifits than you have now or will have leasing or buying your own truck.
bentstrider83 and G13Tomcat Thank this. -
Thats basically what I did.
Keep saving your cash but maybe go try local or LTL work for a couple years. If you turn 25 and still want to buy a truck then go for it but until then the insurance would be outrageous anyway so I'd say hold off on that for a few years since you've only been driving for 1 year anyway. Make sure you want to stick with it long term before you make any big financial commitments.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
What is better money? I make $1100 a week now doing otr at .38cpm. What can ltl do for me a week? I have no benefits & bills. I'm under my parents insurance until age 26.

While at builders i was averaging 53cpm for all miles driven on percentage at 29%. There are better options out there
