We're a carrier for some manufacturers and deliver to L&W Supply all over. They always have clean trucks and the work seems pretty easy.
Another one might be Pride? Since you've driven class B with apparently no violations for a year. That does count for something with common horse sense employers. Insurance gave me 3 months credit on Class A from my driving Class B for 7 years (50k pounds on 3 axles). It's a two year experience job. I had 21 months Class A OTR. Another company considered 6 months Class A for my 7 years Class B. So Class B does count for something.
I cannot say for sure if Pride will hire you with the violations, but it would not hurt to call Brian in recruiting and ask. If you have questions about Pride, I will answer what I can and if I cannot, I can find out the answer in a few minutes.
OP Recognize that a certain amount of stress in learning a new thing driving a vehicle as big as some small houses in tiny cities. (There is a oxymoron...) The best thing for your favor is that you are out west. Thank god. //half teasing. You will come east one of these days maybe and really enjoy tight spaces.
Never you mind that CDL in your pocket. Drive that box truck and BE HAPPY. Its the economic losses being imposed against you for such a bad driving record by industry insurance types behind every trucking company that examines those who wanna job. They simply exclude those who have tickets, bad records etc. Its all over. It does not matter where. I had 7 points (8 is suspension) and a stack of god only knows how many troopers in the barracks gunning for me... I simply stopped OTR and ran a dump truck for a few years which itself was actually a airbrake trailer on a pintle. So it was a total and absolute workaround against all companies that just laughed at me and hung up old school. (Prior to internet etc) A few years of that cleared the record out. It takes time. If you continue to be a bad car driver at home and accumulate more tickets you will be even more excluded from trucking. Maybe to the point that you might as well turn in your CDL and forget it. Some offenses with a cdl is like 5 years or 10 and a few are for life. Your choice. Be a better driver, pass the time int he box truck and be happy. When you are clean again you will roll a semi like the rest.
Cintas pays pretty decent right? Salt lake is a great place to have a cdl. Should be no problem finding jobs up there . but im either having deja vu or im pretty sure u posted this like 2 weeks ago
