    1) concrete/asphalt surfaces. It kind of has an easier time on dirt/gravel.

2)The truck is loaded lightly, usually no more than 30k, on account of it being mostly lettuce.

3)The steers are 22.5" Toyos. Still have some life, but I have to junk them. The old driver needed an alignment, and now they're crap.

4)pressure is always about 105-110psi. A flat steer is a disaster. I like not dying.

The power steering system is working intermittently for some reason.

Get it fixed, GB. Before it fails in a turn and causes a wreck. We like you not-dead.

First thing I thought of was to check the air pressure of the steers.

Irrespective of all the responses, ( all good ) you have a pressure problem...be it the pump, filter, check/bypass valve in the gear, very bad king pins, etc. Possibly even a hose that's bad internally. It should be a quick diagnoses by a qualified tech. As a long time trucks parts dude...I've seen unqualified folks mess around with steering items, once with disastrous results...mostly with $$$$$'s spent for no reason. Get it to a shop bud.
