What is the ham rig up good for? Im not too familiar with what all ill need for the cb besides what it comes with. What gps are you using? Also who are you planning to work for. Whats the difference between the true sine wave and none. Sorry if I came off that way. Just trying to figure out everything and buy it by the time I get my truck.

I have a ham license, so the ham rig will let me talk to other hams all over the world as I head on down the interstate. It has a much better receiver than your typical CB, plus all sorts of additional features (filters and such) that you simply can't find on a $200 CB.

GPS: I'm currently using a Garmin nuvi 2595LMT. It's my third Garmin; I bought my first one 15 years ago and haven't had any problems with any of them. When I get my own truck, I'll likely get a Garmin Dezl unless someone gives me a good reason to get something else.

I've been accepted into the Prime training program, and waiting for an instructor. (Prime only pairs women with women, and there aren't that many female trainers.)

"True sine wave" power is just like the power you get out of the wall socket at home (probably cleaner, but that's another story). The alternative, "modified sine wave" (MSW) use stepped square waves to approximate a sine wave. MSW works for most things, but not everything. True works for everything that works in your house on commercial power.

A few sites that explain the difference:

    http://www.rvtechlibrary.com/electrical/sinewave.htm
    http://rimstar.org/renewnrg/sp_pure_true_modified_sine.htm

Personally, I'm not going to buy anything until I'm sure I'm going to need it.

If I were you I would stay far away from that place. Inbox me and I will tell you my experience. They were my first pick and it was hell. Did training for 2 and half months. Biggest regret yet about trucking was me going with them. Waste of my time.
