So you only drive a truck TWO WEEKS A YEAR and you are complaining about elogs and how it will destroy you're life.
Either you're a troll or you just aren't cut out to be a truck driver.
Stay in your little shop and let the car hauling to the professional drivers.
What the ELD mandate has taught me so far

You response is typical of today's America, start the hate with out bothering to gather all the facts and then process them logically and make an objective determination.
And a little side fact this is my 34th year of driving and being in bussiness I think I have earned the title of professional with my experience.HopeOverMope, fargonaz, Al. Roper and 2 others Thank this. -
Something that hasn't been addressed. If you do any work at all in your othet business for the previous 8 days to stepping into the truck, that time must be logged on duty in order to be compliant. I'm betting you don't currently do that. Pretty much makes your complaints of running out of hours 100 miles short of your shop seem silly.
tucker, Chasingthesky and Friday Thank this. -

How on earth can you guess what my logs look like.
I log all my on duty time and like I said if you read the other posts I do a 34 hr reset before I roll out again.
Do i work over 100 hrs when returning from a trip absolutely. -
Will all know when things are rushed because of time constraints corners are cut and mistakes are made.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -

I said I log all my on duty time legal.
I am not complaining about elogs I am simply stating a fact that in order to return home from my runs legally I would have to run faster and running faster than you normally would is just not safe no matter how you look at it.
A lot like what goes on in America today some put forth a false narrative and then try to get others to buy in to it like it's the truth.fargonaz Thanks this. -
One good thing to come of the mandate is soon we will all be in the same boat. Maybe just maybe the outcry will be loud enough to get some sensible, safe, yet flexible rules in place. For the past three years we have all argued about Eld or no Eld when it seems to me it was the perfect time to conceed the fact that the future is here, paper makes no sense in today's world, and instead fight for some changes in the HOS regulations. But here I sit smoking cigarettes, typing on my phone on a 30 min break 15 minutes from the receiver. Even our good friends to the North in Canada are laughing at us.
fargonaz, dirthaller, Hulld and 1 other person Thank this. -
