Bungees work great for holding up air lines. If you do it right is much more adjustable then the typical springs. Straight lines are much better then coiled line but they do have the draw back of not being easily adjustable. I usually pull a double drop with an 18” king pin and centered hook up but sometimes pull a flat or van with a 36” kingpin and drivers side hookups. I did find this handy adjustable airline clamp which may solve this issue.
Before (notice the bungee with 10k miles on it)
After
What the heck!!

One day after the motor had been recently rebuilt, I was taking a cow truck to the sale barn. I was stepping across at a really good clip when I lost the power steering. Kind of scary, really. Hit the ramp and popped the hood to see the power steering reservoir laying on the frame. Hmm, let’s see what’s in the side box? Ooohhh, zip ties. Elevated it,zip tied it in place and stopped by the truckers supply to get a few long bolts and nuts.

Ran into a driver at the 67 get off on 79 here in WV, it was obvious he was confused as he searched the wall in the Truckstop. As I got closer he ask me "Sir do you see any clamps for a air intake hose"? After he explained what was wrong I had a good idea how to help him. His clamp had broke in his air to air. I showed him how to put 2 regular hose clamps together and make it big enough to fit. Sometimes we all just need a little guidance or helping hand.... but we need to know when to back away.

I have used a 1" strap on an air to air hose when the clamp broke. I have also used 2" on a pete tank till I got home and put a 2nd on and ran the rest of the week. My dad burnt up a wheel bearing up on the spead, pulled the tires off and chain the axle end up to the rub rail and brought it home. Burt up anothr one once with 2 loads on the deck and was to heavy to chain it up so we change out the axle along side the interstate.Gotta do what you gotta.
