No. You want to keep as much heat in as you can for efficiency and health of the system. I'd like to heat blanket the manifold like a marine engine, Downpipe and whole DPF to keep the heat inside, everything clean and happy... Efficient. It's designed for this heat level with the factory fuel settings it won't overheat. It'll also keep the passenger side much cooler and reduce regen times.
There ya go ^^ That blanket also keeps heat away from that vgt module... Hopefully that helps extend the life of that thing
