Elogs are ok once you learn to use them properly. I thought the world was coming to an end when I had to use Elogs, but after getting used to them, which only takes proper time management, they were ok and my paychecks did not get smaller.

    1. Never take your Bluetooth headset off. It's very important to be on the phone while walking thru the store, and especially while doing your business in the restroom.

    2. Never turn off your fog lights. Always run with your fog lights on, even on a clear night with a full moon.

    OK, you're ready.

Wear a PPE vest while driving. You'll want others to be able to see you.

Learn the handling and performance dynamics of the load you are carrying and your tractor so that you can actually pull off passing another truck without taking 5 to 10 minutes to do it. You look like a fool and it just pisses off the four wheelers. Cannot stand the idiots who pass me doing 1mph faster than me and then cut in front of me and go the same speed or slower.

Also, try to maintain a constant speed all the time when possible. Don't drive 58 and then drop down to 50 while your eating or checking your phone or something else your doing. Focus on driving the truck safely and nothing else.
