When my husband was first new, he found Post-It notes to be very useful. They were small enough to be stuck everywhere, but big enough for directions or reminders. Get the super-sticky ones, they stick better on all the surfaces in the truck.

thats no doubt, i ran without a gps for my first year, i kept a company pad....but man that thing was always full of notes.
