Not sure why it's called a pickle park either, and I know this forum is full of truckers, but I'm pretty sure telling you what being teabagged is may violate a rule or 2

Last year The roads From the Canada border at the north end of I29 to somewhere in South Dakota, and from about 60 miles west of Fargo to the Minni border were a sheet of Ice those who were not already in the ditch pulled off where ever they could. I got to a small truck rest area put on my single chains got to Fargo and parked up. I was 20 minutes from home when they closed down the roads. Along the way I was calling in to state troopers the cars and trucks in the ditch that still had lights on so they could get the people out. One auto carrier had hit the ditch and the trailer was sitting on top of the over turned truck. You park where ever you can. Most farmers in the area would let you pull into their yards or driveways any of the small towns all streets are usually available. You park where ever you need to if the company or dispatch has a problem with it then they can just stick it where the sun dont shine. Most states will fine you and toss you in jail if you try to move on a closed road.

As part of winter gear I carry a set of heavy coveralls and never leave home without a winter sleeping bag.

Back around 2000 maybe 99 they closed 80 in second week of September.LEO went truck to truck and asked do you have fuel, food, water, for a couple days we won't be back till storm is over. 16 hours later they opened gate. So you never know how weather will treat you.
