Looked into the WIA program also. I have to take 3 weeks of classes before they will even consider you. And then the worker told me that they have never used the WIA program for truck driving school before. It's like im ###### if I do, and ###### if I don't.
What to do??????

I'm in Southeast Iowa. I have looked at A BUNCH of different school/company jobs. I choose Central because they are the only ones that can offer me a regional route with weekly home time. Everyone else was coast to coast and out 3-4 weeks at a time, which I don't want.

"The worker" doesn't want to do the work
WIA is a federal program and thousands of CDL tuitions have been paid for through it.
Perhaps "they" haven't, but they can if they choose to.
I got the run-around from "the worker" at my unemployment office too, until I pressed her and she made some phone calls. "OK then, I guess you can get a CDL through WIA after all!" -
