Most of the companies I've talked to out of curiosity say that due to my lack of experience, they want me to go through the whole training process, and ride with a trainer again. Whereas if I just wait 2 more months I wouldn't have to do that. Given that the trainer thing takes about a month of driving in a truck with someone I generally wouldn't want to talk to on a daily basis, it'd be wiser for me to wait nd try to work it out with my company if at all possible. But that is definitely something I've been contemplating.

Smaller mom and pop companies would love you. You're hungry and so are they.

Try Big-M Transportation. Only thing I don't like about them is no West Coast runs. Reefers doing lots of Northeast. I prefer coast-to-coast, but that's just me.

Where are you located? And age?

Most small companies like that are obviously not self insured.

Like my self I got hired 3rd day I had my license and I had 4 points on my record insurance was pricy so I had to pay some money monthly out of pocket because the company only covered like they do all other drivers. But that didn't do anything to me cuz I was still making great money month to month.

The only things I look for in a company are a regular big paycheck, and the ability to maximize my hours. I love to work. I don't mind "earning every penny of that weekly $1000" type of job. I don't mind staying out for 3 months at a time. I just want to work, and be able to buy nice stuff.

I'm 23, out of Amarillo Texas. No kids or family tying me down, so it wouldn't be much for me to relocate.

I edited Post #14 because put the wrong trucking company name. It's corrected now.

Add Freymiller to the list. I believe they hire out of Amarillo. You shouldn't have to relocate for a good job; problem with that is if you move to another state, then you have to change your CDL to that state.

Ever heard the expression the squeaky wheel gets the grease? Maybe other guys are crying about the 600 mi 3 day loads and he knows you don't say anything and seem happy enough to accept them.

We had a similar situation after a few months where we are and I finally spoke up and said "what's the deal here? We want to make money just like everyone else and this isn't working"

    Things got better.
